Sorry for delay in getting back on ths. There are a number of short pieces where there is a definite difference. A god example would be 1st paragraph of Segolene Royal article.
It's not a major issue - just a little jarrng when listening while reading whch I like to do the first couple of times I listen to an article.
Thanks for pointing this out. The article on madame Royal has been corrected and we'll be going back through all the archives to try to iron these difficulties out. In the meantime if any readers do come across such problems, please don't hesitate to drop us a line using the Contact button so that we can correct them quickly.
I was glad to see that someone has pointed out the numerous discrepancies within the French transcripts that accompany the audio tracks. Sometimes entire phrases are missing from the text and, more curiously, phases sometimes appear in the text that are not in the audio. I have wondered if the audio are edited after the trascript is produced. Spelling errors are also not unheard of.
The fact that you are unaware of these issues suggests a serious lack of quality control. These issues, in addition to earlier techinical problems that I overcame only by converting the audio files to constant bitrate sampling. have made the La Guinguette experience somewhat disapponting.
We're systematically going through all the archives now to clean up these problems and are changing our checking processes to make sure they don't recur in the future. The verification will take around a couple of months to complete and should be finished by the beginning of the new year.
